Career Pathway Summer Program

The Career Pathway Summer Program is for students currently in grades 6-8 (in the 2023-24 school year) to explore the robust Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs offered at Englewood High School and Colorado's Finest High School of Choice.  The program will offer students a hands-on introduction to various STEAM fields and CTE programs. 

The Career Pathway Summer Program will be designed to:

     * expose students to a variety of CTE pathways and courses offered at our high schools

     * help students explore and develop interests

     * develop foundational skills that students can continue to build in high school

     * help students make connections between future interests and academic choices and achievement

     * build awareness of postsecondary options

Dates: May 28th - June 6th
Times: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Cost: FREE, these programs are provided and funded through a federal ESSER grant.
Transportation:Englewood Schools will provide transportation for this program. A more detailed pickup and drop off schedule will be provided as soon as those details are worked out. Here are is a list of pick up locations:

  • Intersection of Baker and Zuni 
  • Mobile Gardens- Both Stops
  • Bishop Elementary
  • Charles Hay Elementary 
  • * Clayton Elementary (for students going to EHS for the day only)*

Meals: Free breakfast and lunch are available to the student 
Program Format: Students will complete one 2 hour session in each of the 8 pathways that we will be offering this summer: Journalism, Culinary, Biomedical Sciences, Art, Cosmetology, Sustainable Urban Agriculture, Business & Marketing, and Health & Wellness. Once students have completed a session in each pathway they will then have an opportunity to choose two of the pathways in which they want to complete a more indepth project. Click here for a sample schedule

By submitting this application, you are requesting a spot in the program. Please be aware that completing this application does not equate to being accepted into the program. Students and families will receive an acceptance or waitlist email in early May. 
If your student is selected for this program, there will be an orientation for students and parents on May 22nd, 2024 at 6:00pm in the Venue at Englewood High School.
